Miss India Universe 2004 Tanushree Dutta was born on 19 March 1984 in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand/Bihar . Her father's name is Tappan, who works for the Life Insurance Corporation of India. Tanushree came from a conservative Hindu Bengali family.She did school education in Jamshedpur and studied degree at the Pune University.She was employed with Oracle Institute for 3 months in the event management and marketing research and marketing information, including the ability to ramp, print campaign, videos and advertising. This charming and tall (5'7 ") actress, Tanushree Dutta, won the Femina Miss India contest held in 2004 in Mumbai, and in the top ten in the Miss Universe pageant in 2004, Quito, Ecuador. The success eluded her when she not managed at the last group of participants. She was not discouraged by failures, but persisted and finally dark Tanushree not only by themselves eligible for the competition but was crowned Miss India, replacing Nikita Anand, at Bandra Kurla on 27 March 2004. She also own Miss Confident and Miss Beautiful Smile.
